A club favourite returns for 2021. An opportunity to clear unwanted items at this club trash and treasure auction. Invitations extended to other Rotary Clubs in our cluster, family and friends to join in this fun night whilst raising funds for our admin account. Rotarians Mark Kent, Debbie Frugtniet and Hilli Reaburn will champion and host this event. 

Rotary Celebrates 100 years in Australia 2021. Parkwood Rotary will have the opportunity to progress the movement of the official Baton on Friday April 16th from Landsdown Bridge to the Rotary Chapel located on the Broadwater. President Margaret has decided that Parkwood will move the Baton via water for this leg eg Kayak Canoe or SUP. A challenge that Parkwood Members will embrace after all its novel and is sure to get some media coverage. The baton relay is to conclude at an event involving all Gold Coast Rotarains at Cascade Gardens Broadbeach in the evening. Further information re timing etc will be issued closer to the event. 

Theresa and Dale Jepson having recently upgraded their Tennis Court are hosting our Rotary Club. Dust of the racket sand shoes and pull out those professional serves. Cost food and drink options TBA. Partners evening off course. 

Club Meeting with Guest Speaker Manuela Whitford from Frends with Dignity an not for profit dealing with Domestic Violence in our community.

Rotary Vocational Awards are an important area where we engaged with local business. As a result of nominations a group of respresntaives from local buisness are welcomed and are presented with a Rotary award. Please give very serious consideration to those businesses who excel and acknowledge them by way of nomination. This is an annual event and always uplifting and well recived by those external of Rotary.

Lend Laese the owner and operator of Lindfield Gardens Helensvale are partnering with Parkwood Rotary in a community engagement event. Lend Lease will supply a BBQ evening meal and refreshments. The club will also quailfy for a $500 visa card. Enjoy fellow Rotarians in this vocational visit. Leran about options in our Senior retirement years

A Club Favourite Event returns. Rotarian Julie Musty will be organising the GWCD event for the weekend May 14th friday night dinner, 15th Saturday Dinner and 16th Sunday Lunch. Monies raised going to Polio. $50 per couple. Express your interest in hosting and consider which event as an attendee you wish to nominate. Julie will circulate further info closer to the date.
